  • 20% of food-allergic students have had an allergic reaction at school.

About SAFE

Mission

SAFE is a non-profit organization that works to make schools safer and more inclusive environments for children with food allergies. Our educational programs for students and teachers help schools prevent allergic reactions, establish emergency response plans, prevent food allergy bullying, and empower allergic students.

SAFE was founded in 2017 by a passionate team of physicians and members of the food allergy community.

SAFE has reached over 4,500 students and 250 teachers in NY, CT, and NJ.
